GETTING TO MARCO ISLAND

DRIVING TO MARCO ISLAND FROM NAPLES

Marco Island is located just about 20 miles away from Naples, the nearest city. If you’re in Naples, the easiest route to Marco Island is from US-41 to Collier Boulevard. Collier Boulevard goes straight to Marco Island and offers a scenic drive across McIlvane Bay and East Marco Bay. Collier Boulevard will take you to every main street on Marco Island and curves along the west side of the island.

If you’re driving from the Miami area, US-41 is also your

best bet, as it leads to San Marco Road which will take you across Goodland Bay and past the quaint fishing village of Goodland, which is certainly worth a quick stop to get a firsthand experience of its unique charm.

DRIVING TO MARCO ISLAND FROM THE CAPE CORAL/FORT MYERS AREA

The Cape Coral/Fort Myers area is also close to Marco Island, just about an hour away. If you’re in the area, simply follow any route to I-75S which will take you to Collier Boulevard and into Marco Island (Exit 101).

DRIVING TO MARCO ISLAND FROM THE CAPE CORAL/FORT MYERS AREA

FROM NAPLES MUNICIPAL AIRPORT

Naples Municipal Airport (APF) is the closest to Marco Island as it lands you directly in Naples. From there you can take US-41 to Collier Boulevard and be in Marco Island within about 30 minutes.

FROM SOUTHWEST FLORIDA INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

Southwest Florida International Airport (RSW) in Fort Myers is the next closest airport, and you can get to Marco Island in about 50-55 minutes without traffic by taking I-75S to Collier Boulevard (Exit 101).

FROM MIAMI INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

Miami International Airport (MIA) and Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL) are a similar distance away from Marco Island, at 101 miles and 117 miles respectively. From Miami International Airport you can take FL-836W to US-41 which will take you all the way to San Marco Road which then leads into the east side of the island. You can expect the trip to take slightly under 2 hours without traffic.

FROM FORT LAUDRDALE INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

From Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL) you can hop on I-595W to I-75N. I-75N will take you west across the state straight to Collier Boulevard. Collier Boulevard will then take you directly south to Marco Island, with a total trip time of about 1 hour and 50 minutes without traffic.

If you plan on taking a taxi, your best bet is to fly into a nearby airport like Naples Municipal Airport or Southwest Florida International Airport to save on your taxi fares.
